Following Saturday night’s explosion in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, Mayor Bill de Blasio has promised a ‘substantial’ police presence throughout the week. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo also said an additional 1,000 New York State and National Guard troops will patrol transit stations and airports as a precaution.
